I enjoy making mac and cheese from scratch when we have a surplus of milk - in other words, we don't often have it during the winter. I made a big pan of it the other night so that I could try Paula Dean's recipe for fried mac and cheese.
My review: I like it better hot and fresh. :-) Cracker crumbs might be better than plain bread crumbs because it would add some salt. It was different and good, just not great.
