Winter Landscape

I took the camera out today to take some photos for this post, but the batteries died almost immediately. I admit my posts have been picture-short and text-heavy, but I promise some photos soon.

It's still fall, not even mid-November yet, but the landscape looks decidedly winter-ish. The trees are mostly leafless, what leaves are left are brown, the tree bark is gray, the grass is tan, the weeds and brush on the hillside are dry and crackly.

It's a colorless landscape, with the exception of the blue pond, blue sky, and the animals.

The goats and the horses are fuzzy, the mornings are frosty, and winter is on its way.
