Kidding Season

This year, for the first time, the does were bred to kid at the same time. I've had a very busy week. I wasn't sure that I would want to repeat this another year, but it does have its advantages: one hectic week and it's over, and the kids are all the same age.

Another post has some pictures of the first kids. Here are some of the younger ones.

Wish's single doeling. Don't know where that color came from!

Dream's doeling
This little girl couldn't warm up and was really weak, so I brought her inside the house for her first night. By morning, she was able to stand and took a bottle. When the weather warmed up in the afternoon I took her back out to Dream. I wasn't sure if Dream would accept her again, but she did. Evidently the kid has been nursing; she didn't want the bottle we took out to her in the evening, and Dream didn't have much extra milk.

I don't have a good picture of K's boer doe and doeling yet.
