Friday Follow-Up

This week...

-- As I mentioned previously, I had the opportunity to pull the horse trailer a long distance. Previously I've only pulled it locally, and this experience was very good for me. Being able to pull and maneuver a trailer is one of my goals and is a good thing to know "in case of..."

-- We've been blessed with rain and are just about at the "normal" mark for the year. I haven't had to water the garden much yet, and the tomatoes and peppers are growing very well. So far I am happy with my container garden.

-- I'm in "recipe collection" mode, going through old magazines and looking on the internet for different meals; we are in a rut!

-- Made progress on my preparedness plans; I've been writing things down and it's finally making some sense.

-- We recycled a pick-up bed full of aluminum cans, took a load of stuff to charity, and remembered to take all the pop tabs from the aluminum cans to our 4H office, which donates them to Ronald McDonald House.
