The fruit trees have buds on them. This is the very prolific plum tree.
There is always the worry of a late freeze, and sure enough this past weekend we had ice crystals (not snow, but ice balls!) and a hard freeze. There were buds on the plum and peach trees before the storm and I was worried, but the flowers are open today so the storm must have hit at exactly the perfect time. Now, if it will just stay warm enough, we will have a good fruit harvest this summer, Lord willing.
The dozer work dislodged a few of the iris bulbs, but most of them are still in place and coming up as usual.
