I'll make a second batch later, since we had a bumper crop of plums this year. The recipe calls for green pepper, onion, and ginger, so we chopped up enough for the second batch while we made the first batch. We added the two cups of orange juice needed, all the spices called for, and put it all in the freezer. The quart of plum puree for that batch is already in the freezer too. M took 3 pints home with her, leaving me with 6. We use a lot of this sauce, so I'll be making the second batch soon; there won't be that much work involved since we've already done this much.
