Yesterday morning I left home shortly after daylight. The sunflowers turned their cheerful heads toward the rising sun. As I rounded a turn, I saw a deer in the field to the left of me, and I stopped the truck so I could watch for a few minutes just because I could - there was no traffic and I could be a few minutes late to my destination. The doe was close enough that I had a good view but I didn't have my camera. A cow was peacefully grazing between her and my truck. It was such a tranquil scene, and interesting with both a domesticated animal and a wild animal grazing near each other. Then a fawn popped its head up out of the weeds where it was lying near its mother. Awwwww!
I'm thankful for such a very special moment.
