A Slice of My Life

The "real bird" is Toby. Hubby found him flying around town one day and brought him home.

The "not real bird" is "Sweetie". Sweetie was given to me by my mother when I was a small child. We had a parakeet when I was very young; ironically my father found it flying around outside and brought it home. I think Mom gave Sweetie to me after our bird died.

I won't tell you how old Sweetie is; we'll just say that he's delightfully vintage. You can see that his tail was broken off at one time. One wing also broke off but was glued back on. Sweetie brings back sweet memories of my childhood.

The Lord's blessings throughout my life, ring through my memory, when I focus on them... rather than the things at hand. He is so Wonderful.
