A Slice of My Life

I'm guessing that you don't want to see photos of the actual remains of the barn, so I won't post any unless I'm asked to.

This is what happens when you park too close to a barn fire.

And this. We won't be using this to go buy hay for awhile, I guess.

This was my comfort yesterday. These two magnets are hanging in my horse trailer's little tack room. My brother encouraged me with this first verse when I told him about the fire Sunday night.

I'm clinging to this one:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

  1. Dear Kathi;

    We are all praying very much for you and yours.

    You have been constantly in our thoughts and prayers since yesterday when we heard about the trouble. "I can't believe what happened to Kathi" my sister and I will say at random through the day.

    Its terrible and we are praying for you very much!

    Keep up your faith in the Lord - He will see you through this!

    (And may I encourage you to get new goats and don't give up!)

    With much prayer;

  2. Thank you, April.

  3. Dear Kathi,

    I am so sorry about what happened! I know how close you can get to animals. We have 2 angora goats ourselves.

    I am praying for you! May Jesus comfort and bless you through this difficult situation!

    In Christ,

  4. Dear Kathi,
    Indeed as my sister said, we are indeed praying much for you and for yours. You have been much in our prayers and thoughts ever since we heard of it.

    And like she also mentioned, we will frequently talk to one another about it randomly throughout the day, and wish we were nearer, where we could run over and lend a helping hand, and share with you whatever encouragement we could through such a time as this.
    It is indeed terrible, and our hearts and prayers are with you very much.

    May our Jesus ever be near you, as you lean on His Holy Word, for He is Good and He is Faithful, praise His Holy Name.

    Keep standing on the promises of Christ our King! He won't leave you!

    With much prayer, and in His Love,

  5. Carra, I can't begin to tell you what encouragement you've been to me these past months. Just last week I was thanking the Lord for sending you to my blog.

    Thank you so much for your prayers. With the Lord's help I'll get through this, He is holding me up and helping me to walk through this valley.

  6. Mikailah, thank you so much for your prayers.
