The weather has been unseasonably warm, but a couple of cold fronts are on the way. I've noticed a big change in the length of our daylight recently, and the direction of the sunrise has changed dramatically. I enjoy watching leaves drift from tree to the ground in a breeze.
I saw a big brown dead "something" at the side of the road on my way to the dentist this week. I couldn't figure out what it was... it was too big for a dog, too big for a calf, it wasn't a cow or a horse. It crossed my mind that it might be a small bear, even though we don't have bears right here (I think and hope). On my way home I slowed down and looked harder. The tail finally gave it away, it was a big feral hog. Whoever hit that probably did some damage to their vehicle.
We had a lovely Thanksgiving. We miss our daughters and grandchildren, but are thankful that our son is still near enough that he can come home for special days.
