Friday Follow-Up

This week:

-- We celebrated my birthday by going out to lunch with our son.

-- My riding buddy came over and we spent a very windy morning on horseback.

-- Tuesday we had thunderstorms and torrential rain for awhile. The sky was dark and angry and beautiful. My kitchen floor is full of mud, but mud means we had rain and rain is a wonderful thing!

-- Eggs! I heard a hen cackling on Wednesday so went to check and found two eggs in the coop. My hens are not spring chickens (pardon the pun) so they don't lay an overabundance of eggs, but I was pleased and surprised to find these in late January. The eggs were not from the same hen (different shape and color) so there are two that are laying. And yet, no eggs on Thursday...
