-- We had a mega thunderstorm that dumped multiple inches of rain on us in an hour. The runoff was a welcome addition to our farm pond.
-- Rosie, our livestock guardian dog in training, was spayed. Her stitches need to be removed in 10-14 days, but the vet tech suggested I take them out myself rather than try to take Rosie back again. She's huge and she's a handful, and I really appreciated the tech's carrying Rosie out to the truck for me when I picked her up that afternoon.
-- The indoor dogs got skunked in the front yard. Ugh. That's the first time I've ever had to deal with that and I hope it will be the last.
-- The farrier came and trimmed the horses' hooves, hubby started tilling the garden, and our apple trees began blooming.
-- This week's posts were Goat Kids - The Girls and the Morning After the Storm.
-- What I found - A good friend sent me this link awhile ago: How to Turn Your Old Cellphone into a Home Surveillance Camera - my first thought was a barn cam! Wouldn't this be a great way to keep tabs on your does that are due to kid? Our Wi-Fi won't reach out to the goat shed, but I sure wish it did.
-- And another great find: Easy Mexican Chicken. We've run out of homemade salsa but I've been buying Mango and Peach Salsa from Aldi; it's absolutely delicious and I can't wait to try it in this easy, 4-ingredient dish.
