-- And more rain! This has truly been wonderful, and the pond level keeps rising. The turtles click to each other during the day, and line up on the north bank to bask in the sunshine. I can't get close enough to get photos, but seeing them makes me smile.
We've had a few dry days and are supposed to have a nice weekend, then we're expecting more rain this coming week with more good rain totals.
On two mornings there were one or more of my horses in the hayfield. One of them is famous for going through or over the fence, but when there were other horses with him I investigated the fenceline. An old wooden post had rotted off at ground level and fallen over, so the horses were just stepping over the wire on the ground. Since a storm was coming, and I didn't want them to either get caught in the barbed wire on the ground or be "stuck" in the hayfield in the heavy rain, I opened the gate to the hayfield and gave them "legal access" until I could get the fence back up. Yesterday, between rain storms, I fixed it and hopefully the horses will stay put now.
How to drive t-posts the easy way: wait until after it rains so the ground is soft!
