More rain! We've now broken the record for the wettest month ever - not just the wettest May, but the wettest month. I know everyone is tired of it. The garden seeds I planted have washed away or rotted in the ground. I hope it's not too late to plant the tomatoes and peppers.
Monday is June 1st, and the forecast for the whole week is no rain and highs in the 80's. Summer will arrive quickly, I bet. Eventually we'll wish for rain again.
Our neighbor's escaped Holsteins are back. We see them every couple of days as they evidently make the rounds through several peoples' pastures. My alfalfa experiment is bust: I'd broadcast some alfalfa seed in a field earlier this year, just as the rains began. It's the perfect year to try growing alfalfa with all the rain we've had, but not if there are loose cows eating it all.
Hopefully Mama Muscovy Duck will hatch some eggs this coming week.
