Now that the weather is bearable, I've been working outside to catch up on what didn't get done outside during the summer heat. I'm expanding the garden, pulling the spent sunflower plants for the goats, and picking up the osage oranges under the tree in the hayfield so the horses can be let out there during the day.
I'm still canning apples, and I still have a canning-to-do list. I'm also cleaning out the freezer so there will be room for the pigs - and then I'll have pork to can and lard to render.
