This week:Up until this week, I've been collecting 5-6 eggs a day, a good number from my eight older pullets (four black sex-links, two Dominques and two speckled Sussex). Wednesday there were nine eggs in the nest boxes, which means one of the younger buff Orpington girls has begun laying too. It was an egg-citing day!
We've had several days in the 70's and even the 80's this week. The winds have been fierce and we have extreme fire danger. We have green grass in some spots, and the henbit and shepherd's purse are blooming already.
