Simple Homestead blog hop #98

Welcome to the Simple Homestead blog hop!

We are so glad that you have stopped by for a visit! We encourage you to look through some of the great posts shared by our readers and then take the time to read those that interest you. If you are adding to our list, thank you for sharing your homesteading, homemaking, and homeschooling posts with us. It’s so much fun to read your hints, tips, and happenings. We hope you have fun exploring all the great ideas everyone has shared with us.

This Week

Besides being fun to watch, hummingbirds eat aphids and mosquitoes among other insect pests, so they're welcome visitors in my yard and garden. I've filled and hung my four feeders and am hoping they'll stop by on their journey north - and maybe stay for the summer.

Spring means a coming abundance of products from the homestead: berries, fruits, vegetables and nuts, but also eggs and other dairy products. What do you do with it all? Here's a collection of from-scratch cakes that utilize the abundance from the homestead.
