Simple Homestead blog hop #105

Welcome to the Simple Homestead blog hop!

We are so glad that you have stopped by for a visit! We encourage you to look through some of the great posts shared by our readers and then take the time to read those that interest you. If you are adding to our list, thank you for sharing your homesteading, homemaking, and homeschooling posts with us. It’s so much fun to read your hints, tips, and happenings. We hope you have fun exploring all the great ideas everyone has shared with us.

This Week

Have you ever heard of growing potatoes in a trash can? I know it won't give me a big harvest, but I had to give it a try. Why? My reason might make you laugh.

I finally made those shampoo bars I've been meaning to make for months. While I'm waiting for the shampoo to saponify and prove the new recipe worthy, I'm sharing just how I develop and tweak a new soap recipe. Have you tried making soap yet? Just be sure to respect the lye and follow all the safety rules!
