Thankful Thursday, and more

1. a really good night's sleep
2. a rain gauge to measure all this liquid sunshine
3. that our road is still navigable
4. growing-up children
5. salvation through Jesus Christ

We've had 17 straight days of rain in Oklahoma. Two of those days it didn't rain on Oak Hill Homestead, but it still rained nearby. Rivers are flooded, roads are washed out, and people are being evacuated from their homes. Still, the low pressure system that is causing all this is stationary over us and continues to drop rain on us. I think of all those who need rain... my friend "C" in Birmingham, my father in California...

A friend "J" said that she is remembering Job, and that we've been overblessed with rain. I'm also remembering my promise to not complain about the mud that is now ankle-deep and that my goats refuse to step in (not that I blame them). Another friend has lost several goats due to the weather and I am praying for her.

~~ 100th Post ~~ Two more posts till my hundredth! Is anybody out there reading them??

Your oldest friend Nan is here reading. :) I WAS alive in 1947 & remember Will Rogers. :)
My friend Margie has barn swallows. I always look for them when I go there. We have a Dove nesting. It is past time to hatching so we think she is sitting on bad eggs. 3 deer ran across the road in front of our car Thursday. Fortunatly they weren't a few seconds later.
