Last evening I heard the first cicadas, and today I saw the first daylilies in bloom, the first black-eyed Susan blooms, and some kind of thistle. I also noticed seed pods on the spider milkweed plants.

Doesn't look like there will be much of a sand plum harvest this year; they must have been frozen out in one of our late spring frosts.
