Water, water, everywhere!

We had 5.66" of rain yesterday!

Oklahoma City broke a record for the most rain in one day in August, and they only had 4.62 inches. The previous record occurred last year on August 19th from the remnants of Tropical Storm Erin.

It did not break the record for the most rain in one day ever - that record stands at over 7".

Yes, the water troughs were actually overflowing, the pond filled up quite a bit, there are puddles in all the puddly places, and the drainage swale is full of water (it needs to be shoveled out where it goes under the "road" down the hill.) Everything was so GREEEEN last night when I was feeding in the lingering drizzle. The pasture has revived, thank the Lord! There are even tadpoles in the horses' bathtub water trough. ~smile~

And the temperature yesterday and today are SO pleasant - right now it's only 76 degrees.
