The Thinking Rock

While he was here working, the bulldozer operator dug a large boulder out of our "driveway" that goes down the hill, and set it on the brow of the hillside. He told me that he'd put it there so I could sit on it and watch my horses in the pasture below.

Wasn't that a sweet thing to do?

Although I think it's going to be a snake magnet.

So I thought I'd sit on it once or twice before the weather gets too warm and the snakes are a concern. It's a nice height, relatively flat, and is clean because it's rained a few times since he put it there. It's actually pretty comfortable.

It has a nice view.
(Where are those horses?)

It's under an oak tree
so it's shady.

Then the dogs decided to sit with me.
In my lap.
Both of them.

And that was the end of that.
