Fall Projects

"You cannot plow a field by turning it over in your mind."
~ Unknown

Ummmm, yes, I've been doing a lot of that imaginary plowing lately. It's called lack of time, and lack of motivation due to the extreme heat. It's finally beginning to cool off a little now, and I have my to-do list ready. But first I have to finish my county fair project...

Now that our fair has ended, it's my job to figure out who won what, how much the premiums are, add up each exhibitor's winnings, and write the checks.

Yesterday I transferred the results from the judging books to the exhibitor book.

Today I'll be looking up the premium amounts and will add up each person's totals. It won't take long to finish it up.

My first project after that will be fixing that fence in the chicken yard.

My next project will be the goats' fall hoof trimming, a follow-up worming, and moving the goats around so I can let the bucks out for breeding. They STINK.

The apples are very nearly ripe on this dwarf tree, so when the time is right I'll have to stop everything and work on those.

That's just the beginning of my list of fall projects. Does anyone want to come help?

  1. We can come over and help after we get all our projects done.
