Friday Follow-Up

This week:

-- The horses were able to reach one of the hay bales over the fence, so they spent the week munching. They were quite unhappy when they could no longer reach the remains of the bale, and managed to pull the top board off of the fence so they could reach farther. I hammered the board back on - twice - but it needs longer screws to make it more secure.

-- I ran out of room for curing soap in the mudroom/soap studio; every flat surface was covered. Most of it is leaving this week, but in the meantime, a tray of Oatmeal, Milk & Honey soap is curing in my guest room/office for lack of space in the studio. It smells so very good in there and makes me smile as I open the door.

-- Several of the does are already showing their pregnancies, and I'm looking forward to kidding season in March. Eve is one that is obviously expecting; she is my most promising yearling and I can't wait to see her kids.
