Friday Follow-Up

This week:

-- We had snow on Monday! Our son said, "I wish it could be like this every time it snows: just enough to look pretty, and it melts the same day."

-- We had freezing fog on Tuesday, with black ice and very low visibility.

-- We had a beautiful day in the mid-60's on Wednesday. Living in Oklahoma is a daily surprise.

-- I saw the first robin of spring, and heard the spring birds singing in the trees on Thursday as I walked down the hill to open the horses' gate to the hayfield.

-- The plum trees are budding - in mid-February! I'll be surprised if we don't have a frost that will kill hopes for a good harvest of plums. Last year's drought meant no plums; two years in a row would be really sad. The tree is usually very prolific.
