Thankful Thursday

Earlier this week, our youngest daughter was rushed to the ER, and flown to a larger hospital in another state, where a team of doctors and nurses awaited her arrival. Eventually the doctors determined that she had late onset postpartum eclampsia, a condition that can be very serious. They started treatment right away, and four days later she was able to go home.

I am thankful to the Lord, my God, that

- she is better now, and back home again with her little family
- her husband was able to go in the medevac plane, and stay at the hospital with her
- the baby was allowed to stay in her hospital room too, as long as another adult was there to help care for him
- for the compassionate care that the nurses and other personnel provided
- for the doctors who treated her, and who finally determined the cause of her problems
- for her mother-in-law, who is a true gem

  1. This must have been wretched for you to be hearing all this second hand, I just can not imagine. I'm glad they were able to diagnose and treat her quickly, and that all is well.
