Friday Follow-Up

This week:

-- Bleak, cold, cheerless January is a challenge to me. Sunny January days are a gift. Rain is a gift, although it means a dreary gray day and I have to remind myself that rain is a good thing, and is certainly better than snow.

We had soft, gentle rain from Tuesday through Thursday, the kind that soaks in instead of running off. What a blessing.

Rain meant that we had warmer temperatures for a few days too, another blessing. Next week we are supposed to be back in the low 30's, so we enjoy it while we can!

-- My truck is back home after its transmission transplant and seems to be doing well.

-- It is, of course, too muddy to go riding, and the horses are cranky anyway. I miss my good weekly ride; I haven't been on Ella in three weeks (although our youngest daughter rode her while visiting us, while I watched the baby).
