Follow-Up Friday

This week:
-- I saw the first yellow dandelion flower.
-- We've had some very cold, windy weather. Several mornings I had to break a thin layer of ice on the water troughs and buckets. I hope the frost didn't kill the blossoms on the plum and nectarine trees. One morning I found Juliet (dog) and The Phantom (buck goat) lying together in the weak sunshine; Juliet was The Phantom's windbreak, and his head was on her back. It's nice that they get along so well.

-- I potted up several more "tomato clones" that were rooted from cuttings after the first ones were potted. They have really been growing like crazy. One plant is sporting flower buds, which I cut off so that the plant puts its energy into root growth for awhile longer.
