A Slice of My Life

Do I dare say that Scooter is housebroken?
We made it seven days without an accident, then had to reset the counter,
but it's been another five consecutive days without an "oops".

My hope is to inspire you, and to encourage your homesteading plans and your dreams of a
simple, self-reliant, God-dependent life. You can follow me at:

  1. Sounds promising! I have a foster who has had a hard time with house breaking and he is 8 months old.

  2. I'm really pleased with how well he's doing. One day he just "got it" and we've only had that one accident since then. Hubby's border collie pup took forever. I hope your foster dog picks it up soon, poor guy - and poor you.

  5. Oh what a cute dog. What kind is he? Sounds like he's doing well.....hope that keeps up! Thanks for a great blog!

  6. Thank you for the kind words, Diane. Scooter is an English Shepherd, full brother to my older dog, Pete. They are great dogs.

  7. Scooter is just darling. Good luck with continued success on being housebroken.
