A Slice of My Life

Spring in Oklahoma means the possibility of severe weather.
This long line of thunderheads was sure pretty though!

  1. That is a beautiful cloud...my dad taught us those are cumulonimbus (if I remember correctly). He was a pilot and had to know his cloud formations ;) aren't they called anvil heads when the winds up above th m blow them flat on top? Those were the ones we watched out for when we lived in Oklahoma.

I only know them as thunderheads. We didn't see them very often in California where I grew up, but my dad always pointed them out to me and I learned their beauty. Now that we live in Oklahoma I've also learned the danger. :-)
