A Slice of My Life ++

Now that the weather is heating up and gardening season is underway, it's harder to do all that needs to be done before it gets too hot to be outside. I've even added in a daily walk to the mix. Fortunately our road is shady for awhile in the morning.

Yesterday I walked by a spot that I've driven past many times. I decided I'd take a few extra minutes and get a closer look. I love the rich color of the old iron pipes that are so common here, and the valves and gauges are intriguing.

How many people have stood on this spot over the years?

My hope is to inspire you, and to encourage your homesteading plans and your dreams of a simple, self-reliant, God-dependent life. You can follow me at:

  1. This sounds corny, but whenever my husband and I are on vacation and driving through the Appalachian's, I always spot a point and wonder if a human foot has ever touched that spot. Corny, I know, but I hate being a passenger and it gives me something to do. :)

  2. I don't think it's corny at all. You sound like a kindred soul. :-)
