Friday Follow-Up

This week:

Whew! It's been quite a week, filled with gardening, chicks and ducklings, mowing, and the first trail ride of the year. I've really pushed myself physically and I feel it, but my motto is "use it or lose it" so I keep pushing on.

My roses usually bloom for the first time around Mother's Day, but this year they've been blooming for several weeks already. I've been cleaning up the herb garden and moving my potted herbs outside, and working on the expansion of the vegetable garden too.

I have two broody hens in the chicken coop, both buff Orpingtons. I moved one to a broody cage and gave her the day's eggs. I put the next day's eggs in the incubator, recently vacated by the new ducklings.

Next Friday we'll be celebrating Oak Hill Homestead's tenth blog anniversary!
