Simple Homestead blog hop #140

Welcome to the Simple Homestead blog hop!

Hi there! Every week we get together for another linky party. The Simple Homestead blog hop runs from Thursday morning to Sunday evening, and I'm always glad to see you.

I hope you have fun exploring all the great ideas that have been shared. Add your homesteading, homemaking and homeschooling posts to the party if you're a blogger (you'll find our rules below). I'm sure you'll be blessed and inspired by all the great posts and ideas.

This Week

A friend's husband says that goats have too much personality. I think the day he had to chase their new goat down their country road was the end of it for him, and that goat wasn't around for long after that. While I love my goats, in my early milking days mornings were anything but fun. My goats were seriously out of control. Here's what I did: How changing my milking routine changed my life.

We're still in the grip of winter, and a hot bowl of soup with some homemade bread is a delicious way to warm up. Beef barley soup is simple to make (I use my slow cooker) and is very frugal since it uses up leftover veggies you might have hanging around. And did I mention that it tastes good too?
