A Slice of My Life

That light brown/cream egg right there? That's a first-egg-from-this-hen since the fall molt began so many months ago. All winter long I've gotten an occasional egg (or even two) that were the darker brown color; I assume they were from the Rhode Island Red hens that I saw in the nest almost daily. This one though, this is from a different hen - a black star or a buff orpington or buff brahma. 
Maybe spring is really coming?
