Silver Sundays - a simple, joyful life in October

I am thankful to the Lord, my God, for:

October 3, 2021

- rain after a long period of drought
- a cold front and relief from the oppressive heat
- safe travel
- our grandchildren's birthdays
- a visit from a friend who moved away

October 10, 2021

- sleepovers
- little boy imagination
- chalk drawings on the patio
- squirrel antics
- falling leaves

October 17, 2021

- being able to help when life happens
- fall weather - finally!
- a good sermon and old, familiar hymns
- phone calls with family
- family birthdays

October 24, 2021

- more birthdays for friends and family
- that our son is back home and healthy again
- prayer warriors
- a good night's sleep
- getting back to normal

October 31, 2021

- raking up fallen leaves and twigs for the compost pile
- cooler weather
- pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread (baking season!)
- my coworkers
- neighbors

Silver Sunday

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

What a wonderful idea to just reflect on the good that God has blessed us with!

  2. I am so very thankful to our Lord and Savior that I can't begin to list all of them, but to make a list short, I am most thankful for the salvation that Jesus Christ has given to me and my husband. I am thankful for the good health we both have.
I am also thankful that He has everything under control in our lives, even if we don't realize it.

As to nature, I am thankful that I am able to feed the deer, the squirrels, the birds (and even one time a mommy bear and her two cubs), sunshine and rain, wind and storms; just all the things that He created for us.
