Kathi Rodgers is the CEO and chief writer at Oak Hill Homestead and the voice behind HOMEGROWN: Your Backyard Garden Podcast.
Founded in 2006, Oak Hill Homestead is where Kathi teaches new gardeners, goat owners and folks interested in living a more self-reliant life how to dig in and grow their dreams.
Kathi is a published magazine writer (including Country Almanac, Country Decorating Ideas, Country Kitchens and Baths, Iams' Your Cat, and others) and has been featured on websites such as Stark Bros. Nurseries and Orchards, Hobby Farms, Hello Homestead, Self-Reliant School and Essential Homestead. She founded and edited the subscription newsletter Cat Chat in the 1990's.
As well as her podcast HOMEGROWN: Your Backyard Garden Podcast, Kathi has also appeared on The Prairie Homestead's Old-Fashioned on Purpose, HobbyScool, and on KFGO Radio.
Passionate about living a simpler life, Kathi loves teaching others the basic skills needed to be more self-reliant and to raise healthy, organic food in their own backyard.
A grandma and great-grandma, Kathi lives in Oklahoma where she grows a ton of cherry tomatoes and attempts to dodge tornadoes.
